Solar powered SuperLED ice white LED garden fairy light string, 60 bright white LEDs and a solar panel, simply push the ground stake into the ground, fix the lights where required and enjoy the effects, the solar panel charges the battery during daylight, then the lights switch on at dusk and off at dawn, a switch on the base allows selection of constant or flicker/twinkle function, fully automatic operation and of course free to run.

Summary: Save your money!
Comment: My set of lights worked for 2 nights and haven't worked since. The batteries won't charge - presumably due to the gloomy weather.

Summary: Don't expect too much during winter months!
Comment: Do not expect too great things from these lights during winter. They need pretty much a full day of sunshine to charge properly when they look great. We tried them in part of the garden where they were in direct sunlight for about half the day and they don't charge up to enough to work at all. On a cloudy day don't expect them to work! I think for Christmas lights it's back to ordinary outdoor lights but during the summer months these solar lights will come into their own!
Additional review 13.12.08. Sadly these lights just do not work during english winters, just not enough sunlight, even when the sun is out for some of the day! Very disappointing but will put them away to put out again in summer when I am sure they will work very well. I now know you should buy only solar lights that are recommended for UK use if you want any sort of display during the winter.Be warned!

Summary: Poorly constructed and unreliable
Comment: I got a set of these for Christmas, and put the solar panel on a flat roof in the garden. They worked sporadically at first (if I jiggled them a bit) but gave up completely after a week or so.
Would not recommend.

Comment: I was disappointed with these lights. They stopped working after only having them a few days, after heavy rain. I posted the item back (at my expense) for a replacement...and the same thing happened again after another bout of rain. They really shouldn't konk out just because of wet weather!
I havent bothered to send these back - as I got rid of the packaging thinking it would not happen twice - but it did.
It's a shame as they are pretty lights.

Comment: SuperLED Solar 60 White LED Light String
I first bought a set of these lights for camping. Going away for the first time in ages and didn't want the problem of having to buy batteries, but to use the lights on the top of the tent for safety at night, and to locate it after a few drinks.
They are a great buy. Everything that I wanted. They lit up the first night, stayed on the tent and are now, due to the wife, in the garden. So I bought a second set. The wife is delighted with the garden and I use both sets when camping for safety and location when I wear my beer goggles. Highly recommended. Oh, forgot the service, Superb and second to none.
What a shame. Just 3 weeks after I gave this review, the PCB in the unit packed up. I managed to rig up the PCB from an old solar light and it's working again but the second set that I bought are still working fine. So the result is now in the balance.
If the second set manage to keep going, I'll be happy. If they pack up after a while, I'll let you know.
