A distinctive, long-limbed rabbit breed with a hare-like appearance. It is active and should be matched with owners able to provide appropriate space and enrichment.

2. Appearance and identifying characteristics

Belgian Hare should be identified using recognised breed characteristics and current UK rabbit-show terminology. Colour, pattern, ear type, coat type and body size can be important, but individual rabbits^★ may vary and pet quality is not determined by show markings alone.

3. Temperament and behaviour

Breed tendencies can provide a useful starting point, but individual temperament varies. Rabbits are social prey animals and need opportunities to exercise, forage, hide, explore and interact appropriately with compatible companions.
